Every single review is 5 stars — from homeowners in Waltham, Watertown, Newton, Arlington, and across Middlesex County. They found us through a neighbor's recommendation, or because they were done rolling the dice on painters who don't follow through. Read the reviews yourself and see what they say about the prep work, the cleanup, and how we left their home.
Your estimate is your price. Before anything starts, we walk through the job with you — what needs prep, how many coats, what materials we're using — so you know exactly what you're paying for before a single drop of paint goes on. No add-ons once we're in the door.
You won't get handed off to a call center or left waiting days for a callback. When you reach out to W&F Painting Solutions, you're talking to William — the owner, the person responsible for your job from the first call to the final walkthrough.

"Our experience with W&F was excellent! Our condo had nearly 50 large, poorly patched holes in our walls from a blow-in insulation installation. I honestly did not know whether they were even totally fixable. W&F fixed these so well you cannot even notice where any of them were! The paint application is very smooth, and the lines are nice and clean. I was a bit skeptical of how quickly he said his team could complete the job, but they delivered. It was even done a half day ahead of schedule! You can tell each member of the team specializes in something (detail work, patching, etc) and they work really well together. I am so, so happy we went with W&F, and we will definitely use them again in the future if needed."

There's no shortage of painters in the Greater Boston area. But there's a big difference between someone who can hold a brush and a crew that does the job right every time. Here's why homeowners and business owners keep calling us back:
We know the biggest complaint about contractors is that they disappear. We show up when we say we will, every time. No excuses.
Good paint jobs start before the paint opens. We take the prep seriously because it's what makes the difference between a job that lasts and one that doesn't.

The W&F team was awesome. They responded immediately to my inquiry and traveled a bit of a distance to do an onsite assessment of the project. They quickly put together a proposal for painting 3 good size rooms and a small bathroom and gave me an idea of when he and the team could complete the work - this was great because I was adjusting my own work schedule and they were able to work around that. The team arrived on time and got right to work. It was a long Saturday for them but they finished the work in 1 day! They even helped me reposition my 700lb piano! Don't hesitate to reach out to the W&F Painting Solutions team for your painting needs!

W & F were fantastic! They were able to do the job within days of me reaching out, were very responsive and professional, picked up the paint for me, gave a fair quote, and did a wonderful job. I am very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend!

Answers To Frequently Asked Questions
We're based in Waltham, MA at 254 River Street and work throughout Middlesex County. Most of our projects are in Waltham, Newton, Lexington, Belmont, Watertown, Arlington, Cambridge, Somerville, Weston, and Lincoln. We regularly work on homes along the Fitchburg Line corridor, in the MetroWest region, and on properties close to the Route 128 belt. If you're nearby and not sure whether we cover your area, just call — we probably do. William answers directly at (781) 392-8341.
Same day - and you'll be talking to William directly, not a scheduler or sales rep. When you call, text, or fill out the estimate form, William responds personally the same day. If a walkthrough makes sense, we'll schedule it within a few days and deliver a written estimate with a full scope breakdown — surfaces, prep requirements, product specifications, and timeline. No waiting around, no vague numbers. (781) 392-8341.
Yes - and it's most of what we do across Waltham, Lexington, Newton, and Belmont. A large share of homes throughout Middlesex County were built before drywall became standard. Plaster walls, layered paint history, detailed wood trim profiles, and old patch repairs all need to be addressed before a finish coat goes on. We skim coat and feather out old patches with joint compound and spackle, sand with pole sanders and sanding blocks, and seal with Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 or Benjamin Moore Fresh Start before any finish coat goes down. If those steps get skipped, every imperfection telegraphs through — especially in rooms with good natural light. We prep first. Always. Call (781) 392-8341.
Yes. William comes to you. We walk the project together, look at every surface, and flag anything that needs attention before paint goes on — wood rot, failing caulk, peeling paint, plaster cracks, or moisture damage. You leave with a written estimate that has a full line-item breakdown covering prep work, primer, finish coats, product brands, and timeline. Not just a number. If you want to move forward, you'll know exactly what you're agreeing to before we schedule a start date. Call (781) 392-8341.
On a properly prepped surface, a quality exterior paint job in Massachusetts should last 8 to 12 years. The biggest factor isn't the paint brand — it's surface preparation. Freeze-thaw cycles crack caulk and siding joints. Shade from heavy tree cover keeps siding damp and accelerates mildew and adhesion failure. We power wash first, scrape loose and failing paint with carbide scrapers, recaulk all trim and window joints with Big Stretch or Sherwin-Williams PowerHouse, prime all bare wood with Benjamin Moore Fresh Start Exterior Primer, and apply two finish coats of Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior or Sherwin-Williams Duration Exterior — both engineered for cold-weather adhesion and New England freeze-thaw cycles. Call William at (781) 392-8341.
Yes — the majority of our projects across Waltham, Newton, Belmont, and the surrounding towns are in occupied homes. Before work starts, William goes over your daily schedule — when you have calls, which rooms you need access to, when the kids are home. Drop cloths go down every morning, every surface and piece of furniture gets covered with plastic sheeting and painter's tape before a brush or roller moves. Low-VOC and zero-VOC paints from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams keep fumes minimal. The site is fully cleaned at the end of every work day. If you work from home, we plan around your schedule. Call (781) 392-8341.
For most kitchens in Waltham, Lexington, Newton, and Weston, cabinet painting or refinishing is the right call. If the cabinet boxes are solid wood and the doors are structurally sound, the finish is the problem — not the cabinet itself. We pull every door and drawer front, remove all hardware, degrease all surfaces with Krud Kutter or TSP to strip cooking residue and grease buildup, sand for adhesion, and prime with Zinsser BIN shellac primer or INSL-X Stix before any finish coat. Doors are sprayed flat using a Graco airless sprayer or HVLP equipment with Benjamin Moore Advance or Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel — both cure to a hard factory finish that resists chipping at door edges. Done right, it lasts years. Call (781) 392-8341.
William Morales handles every project personally from the on-site estimate through the final walkthrough and sign-off. No sales rep at the front end and no subcontracted crew arriving on day one without context. We use premium materials — Benjamin Moore Aura, Sherwin-Williams Emerald, Purdy brushes, Wooster rollers — and we don't swap products after the estimate. We take on a limited number of projects at a time across Waltham and Middlesex County so each job gets full attention. Written estimates, written workmanship warranties, and final payment only after your sign-off. If you've been through the runaround with other painters, call William directly at (781) 392-8341.
Yes - in writing, every time. We don't consider a job complete until you've walked through the finished space and confirmed you're satisfied. Final payment isn't collected until that sign-off happens. Every project includes a written workmanship warranty covering the quality of prep, priming, and finish coat application. If paint peels, adhesion fails, or cut lines aren't clean, we come back and make it right. That's not a sales line — it's in the contract. Call (781) 392-8341.
It depends on surface size and condition. A single room with standard drywall typically takes one to two days. Rooms with plaster walls, multiple patch repairs, or significant paint buildup need more prep time before a finish coat goes on — plan for two to three days. A full interior — multiple rooms, trim, ceilings — runs one to two weeks. Exterior projects on older New England homes with wood siding, clapboard, fascia repair, and multi-layer paint removal can run similar time. Cabinet refinishing in a full kitchen typically takes two to three days. We give you a realistic timeline at the estimate — not a number designed to win the job. Call William at (781) 392-8341.
